APRIL 2012: Ravi Shankar marriage: Our journey

Ravi Shankar Marriage.So one guy was gonna do it early in his post 25 age. I booked tickets for myself and two other friends of mine subaiah and Jeeva. Archana was supposed to come but then do not know why she refused to come for Ravi Shankar marriage. Nandini when we asked her gave many reasons, firstly she said that she cannot come to his marriage as her friend's marriage too is on the same date. Next when we proposed that we would go to Ravi's reception then again she said that actually the previous day she had to do shopping for her friend, her friend's actual marriage was on this day. Lame excuses. Do not know why she is acting as such. Once upon a time she used to be ready to come around. Now do not know what is the problem with her. Next was Archana who always has this habit, which is like in the end she would raise up her hands saying that she is going some where... all of a sudden some relatives came n they have planned and bla bla bla...

Huh so it was we three guys... On our way to Chennai. I was coming to chennai for the 4th time. We got into the KSRTC VOLVO and headed towards chennai. Reached Chennai at around 5. Slept nicely till 10. Then got freshed, had the chennai special dosa and coffee and we started off. Smaran, took out his Nokia Lumia 800 which has a 3G connection and searched for the places to roam around for time pass. Meanwhile I was busy calling up my Junk Tamil colleagues back in Bangalore to get to know where I can roam, Senthil did not know about Chennai and Siva was busy with do not know what.

So finally it was Smaran who found a mall which had Ice skating... In scroaching sun in chennai, I was wondering how they would manage ice skating, So we boarded an auto and started our journey towards that  mall, Rickshaw guy was cunning he came to know that we are outsiders charged us double the amount. Now we entered the mall, unlike Bangalore malls, this mall was not crowded. Hence we started searching each and every floor for the skating stadium. I was yelling at Subaiah for getting us to this mall. We searched and came down and asked the security for the location of the ice skating. He pointed us towards it.

We went there it was a marble floor on which you need to wear skates and slide. We all 3 went, however the incharge said that he had only one shoe which was of size 10 and two of us were giant feet. Hence Subaiah decided to sit out and watch me and Jeeva skate. The guys over there made us wear the skates and we were off skating. It was fun.. I took off cautiously and then realized that it is similar to roller skating which i had already done in my school days. Hence i started skating, Jeeva was struggling with the skates, I was not able to stand straight on the skates since it just has one metallic strip down and it kind of becomes difficult to hold your balance. Jeeva fell down many times and I was thinking why is he finding it so difficult, then I tried doing some thing flashy and fast... Here started my falls.. Went on fallling every now and then. Meanwhile Subaiah was shooting both of us and asking us to go from one end to the other end. Once he said he will shoot only me and asked me to do the best skate from one end to another. I did well to come in front of the camera and the fall down. A while later i was experiencing severe pain in my ankle. Took a break, drank water and did a few more rounds on my skate and then it was over. Remove the shoes to see that a blood clot had happened due to a nut getting pressed with my ankle. Rested for sometime and left for McDonald to have lunch.


Had only heard of the richness that Ravi Shankar had but once I went there is what i realised what richness actually was. Andhra EX CM had come there for his reception.

2012 Fills

JAN

Started off in a very pathetic way.
Had problems regarding my marriage intially.
Girl's parents were not at all agreeing with our proposal.
31 december I got the horoscopes confirmed from the pandit from Uttaradi Mutt.
Mailed the matched horoscope to the girl's parents.
Few days later my parents called her parents.
Her dad said "Don't you have manners.
Why are you troubling us. Few days back your son sent us a letter now you are sending it. Shall I call police".
Things ended there temporarily or permanently I do not know.
I was sad depressed because of this.
My parents are asking me not to speak to her.
She too is sad for her dad's behavior.
Still we are meeting.


FEB

My grand parents met with an accident.
Grand mother and grand father were in kitchen.
Gas was leaking.
My grand father lit Deepam and the room caught fire.
Both were severly burnt.
Grand mother suffered burn injuries as she was wearing a polyester sari.
Sari stuck to her body when it caught fire.
Grand father immediately went to switch off regulator and suffered the burns.
While returning back, few saris fell on him which had already caught fire.
He then went to bathroom and took bath in cold water. wiping out the burnt skin.
Grand mother came to hall. Fire was over by now.
Grand father with great difficulty called my aunt.
Aunt came and came along the Ambulance+ police + photographers.
It was in news the next day. Old couple were at home.
When a gas leak caught fire.
They were shifted to civil hospital where in first aid was done and were asked to be sent to SDM oR KMC.
My uncle and aunt both some how convinced the hospital that they will take them to SDM and took to some private hospital.
This hospital was attended by a known person to them. He is a renowned plastic surgeon.
Grand mother and father on drips and being medicated.
My mother called me up and informed me about all this. She told me not to come there as situation was under control.
She was very sad. Told me that Ajji was too much injured and Ajja has a burnt face but is recovering well.
Ajji is drinking tea, Docs struggled to find a vein to connect the saline.. As most part was burnt.
Repeatedly i asked her and she replied the same. Do not come now.
Next day I am in office where in I get a message from mom "Ajji gone".
I went crazy. Thinking what just happened.
I rush in bus back to home.
I reach hospital and I see Ajja whole body burnt and struggling.
Poor old man.. I am feeling sad to type this...
Will type some other time

I went to Dharwar next week where in the funeral ceremonies were going on.
Dharmodaka was done for my grand ma first.
Here one pinda is kept where in a crow is expected to eat it.
Many crows were there on the ground. But none of them came on top of the cemented cliff to eat the pinda.
Twice the crow came and flew away. All were disappointed and crying.
Everyone was prayed and expressed to fulfill last wish of my grand mother.
My mom wished that my grand mother should be roborn as daughter to my moushi.
I prayed for her soul.
Really sad to see people crying.
Then all of a sudden a crow comes and eats it.
We all took bath and did puja and came back home to take bath again.

2 days later, It was my grand father's dharmodaka.
This time there were no crows.
Everybody was waiting for the same.
Looking at the sky for where in you can see only the eagles.
My Uncle prayed that he would ful fill the wish of my grand father by returning the money taken from my grandfather's brother.
All of a sudden from no where, crow comes and eats pinda.
In a sigh of relief we take bath and go back home.

My mother was hurt in a small incident.
A cooker kept over lpg stove blasted.
All rice spilled over on the ground and the roof.
The cooker flew with the blast and fell on the stove breaking the burner.
Its handle broke and fell on my mom's head. she suffered minor burn due to the steam which was out of the cooker.
She did not tell me about this. I only came to know about it when i went there.

February is ending, 2012 leap month is ending, today is the last day.
Things are kind of settled now. I'm returning back to original.
Looking forward for good days ahead.

I have my promotion exam for the post Associate consultant on last week of March, Assignments with Manipal university are pending followed by semester exams in April.
Hectic schedule.

There is Venkat Reddy's marriage in March and Ravi shankar's marriage in April, not sure what I would be able to attend.
